HIGHLIGHTS:

• Visit of a local berber market on Mondays
• Visit of an Argan Oil Co-operative

For this day excursion we will pick you up at your accommodation in Marrakesh at about 9am and head towards Ourika Valley, about 45 kilometers from Marrakesh.

On Monday, you have the opportunity to visit the big local souk in Tnine Ourika,  where all people from the mountains in this area come to meet, talk, see a doctor and do the shopping for the family for the next week, or two.

After this experience, we will refresh ourselves with a cup of mint tea in a local berber home, before we visit an Argan oil co-operative. You will learn how this precious oil (both types– cosmetic as well as cooking oil) is being extracted and you can also taste Amlou…...Yummmy.

Our car now takes us to the starting point of our walk to the Ourika waterfalls. These waterfalls are a popular attraction for both – local people and tourists. Walking time will be about 45 minutes.

Our well deserved, late lunch we will enjoy in a restaurant at the stream before we start our way back to Marrakech. If it's not too late, we also can pay a visit to a pottery en route. 

We will back in Marrakesh in the late afternoon.
